Halloween...
on Blogs and Social Media!
Fashion Doll Stylist dressed her fashion dolls in Halloween garb, glamorous! Who wouldn't want to look like this witch!
Her girls also had fabulous masks, created by FDS herself!
Now, a quick way to check April's girls all ready for Halloween fun is to head over to Fashion Doll Diva! They are couture Trick or Treating! Smart things!
 
AND if you want to learn how to make the masks that shattered the Instagram page, go right to her Fashion Doll Stylist Blog tutorial...
 
You go... I refuse to go back. I might get inspired and start gathering craft materials. But I need SLEEP! I have been working for DAYS! On Halloween dioramas, costumes, photos, stories...and then posting to social media!
 
Instagram, Twitter, Flickr, Facebook, Little Darling membership sites. I feel positively blurry...
 
I can't even add links right now (they are above...try Hiya Dolly everywhere).

What's New in Dolltown?

Halloween at Dolltown Abbey!
What a lot of fun!
Vikka set up the room for the Iples...she loves Halloween almost as much as they do!
The Iple Juniors put on the party, filled the coffers and pumpkins with treats.
And then the Little Darlings and friends came to Trick or Treat! Hat switches, butterfly sharing...
And lots of Dolltowners showed up to enjoy the Moon Arch Room. Some were there just for the special night...Black Cat, Big Spider, Skeleton, Old Grey Ghost, and Little Grey Ghost. And new little Spidey and the Magnet Heads. 
But later there was a stream of our regular Dolltowners. Very late! Kasma Clown, Bouncy Eyes, Guard One, Floora the Ballerina. the Skinny girls (Well, Monster Highs and our Bratzilla). Priscilla, of course.
To end the night Woody and his True Love showed up for a last dance... How sweet!

What's Happening in Fashion in Dolltown?

The Iple Juniors dressed up for Halloween!
Well, the boys wore black. How original. (They always do.)
And so did Raven, but she added an orange satin ribbon...
But Aira donned her white satin night thing, and grew two sparkly maple leaf wings. And a golden halo appeared on her fluffy curls.
And Odelle, after dressing in a colorful long gown, invited a couple of pretty orange butterflies to stay with her...well, on her, for the night.
And she shared! Little Pearl persuaded one to land on her witch hat.

And from last week, a description of the Little Darlings' costumes... 
We have two witch outfits this year!
Some of the girls are dressed in orange and black!
Some of our Little Darlings are wearing old fashioned dresses for costumes.
And Tink is dressed as a little elf, and Zoey wears her 1st Nations outfit, complete with feather hair ties. Nice, Zoey! It's the outfit she arrived in!

That was a lot of fun!
My 2nd Halloween in Dolltown!
Last year we stayed by the Dark Tree. But this year we got to go right up to Dolltown Abbey, and climb the long stairs to the room with the high balcony.
They call it the Moon Arch Room. The moon in the sky is always full. What?
And that meant that the party went on till midnight, even with the little girls. And even after it was over, Dolltowners were showing up...
The Iple Juniors were the ones who invited everyone and put on the party! They brought the Little Darlings up the path, and looked after them the whole time. I was impressed!
During a lull in the partying, the Juniors got cozy with each other...and I saw Catrine, our tiny Monster High give handsome Bo the jealous stare.
Who even knew she had a crush?
Good luck, Catrine! Go and cry on Oona's bony shoulder. Bo only had eyes for Aira! Well, earlier he seemed to have eyes for Raven.... 
Oh never mind. I won't even pretend to keep up with the love lives of the Iples!
The question of the night?
Where were the boys? You Know Who is going to go and find them, after she sleeps...
What bunch of boys deliberately misses Trick or Treating?
That's a mystery!
What is coming up this week?
The boys!
And the children.
And I hope, the Little Darlings wearing Nataliya's beautiful new knit dresses...
A dream come true!

Knit dresses!
We brought some home to Dolltown last fall, so the girls would have some warm clothes for our cold weather...
This pretty multi colored dress came all the way from France...
And this year we got a bundle for a phenomenal deal on seven at once! With three ruffled net skirts too! From Russia.
Nataliya often has very pretty dresses in her eBay shop...

What's happening in Dolltown...

We found the boys! Well, they passed Scout on their way to go somewhere. And she just followed them, and told Lula.
Now we know they have a secret clubhouse!
Now we know why they didn't show up for the Iples Halloween party!
But we won't say anymore now... The photos are ready to be posted, maybe tomorrow!
Besides that it was a quiet week for me...
Just as well after a VERY busy Halloween!
I spent time with the little girls, while You-Know-Who took several Little Darlings on real outings. To friends' houses, an Art Gallery, the Pop Up Shop!
And there was some doll-prop gathering at the Bailey House... Looks Christmasy!
But it's November still, so lots of grey, navy, brown...
Leafless trees, and too cold for sandals.
Thankfully, You-Know-Who found my black patent shoes.

What's Happening in Dolltown?

A Doll Adventure!
I took a trip to our big Vancouver Island and took two Little Darlings with me. I don't decide who accompanies me until the last minute. And my choice has to do with three things:
  • the kind of trip I am on 
  • the dolls I am a little more involved with at the time
  • who's ready!
Traveling for almost two hours each way on the ferry assured me some photo time. But we didn't dare brace the wind on the deck. Cold.
And there was time by an ocean inlet at the Harbour Quay to take a few photos near the boats... 
Hey Lani! Zoey and Faith remember the photos of Lula with you on your adventures. So in our blog post, you'll see a photo where they are face down on the grate above the ocean....

What's happening in Dolltown...

I'm waiting for You-Know-Who to walk through the door, with Zoey and Faith and a new teddy! They left three days ago to visit family on the island.
She sent us photos!
The rest of us were left in Dolltown, with G in charge. Things were quiet and everyone was cooperating and behaving until the third day when YKW was expected.
In G's own words, in a text he sent to YKW...
"The girls are real excited that you-know-who is coming home. Lula was crying a little while ago because the boys told her you had run away from home. I made the main culprit stand in a corner with the pointed end of a banana peel on his head like a dunce cap. And that had Miley saying I was being too mean. I thought the living room was going to turn into a Trump rally, so I made the kid say he was sorry to Lula, and Miley said she was sorry she called me mean, and then I let them all watch some TV, Rosemary's Baby I think."
Then he sent her photos, of me glued to the TV, and the banana dunce capped boy... Really, G?
Anyway, we all survived and are waiting for the teddy to come out of the dryer so we can hear the adventure stories. Zoey and Faith said they drove to Portals and set up Links, and were disappointed they couldn't blow up a Force Field. What?
Can't wait to hear what that's about!
The boys are already gathered around, after their late Halloween party at their new clubhouse.
They say it's okay to have their own clubhouse because the girls have Jiyoon's playroom at the Iple's.   
Okay boys...
What is coming up this week?
The children, I hope. They are getting rambunctious.
But who knows?
Not me!

We brought this book on our trip!
A mystery solved by two adventurous doll friends. I like the way the author handles doll characters coming alive when the humans are asleep or absent. A doll oath...hmmmm.
